"The Vendetta Factor" has all the ingredients of mystery, intrigue, romance, and adventure, latticed with subject matter and tantalizing humour.

Nick Seven, former CIA agent, now a sword of state administrator in Florida finds himself in the intermediate of a sod war betwixt the Musante Family and Dominic Ferrone, inheritor to the Scarletti Family of New York. Ferrone requirements to purloin over the Musante Family power of formed transgression in the government of Florida. Justice prosecutor Michael Quinn has a closet agenda, for personal powerfulness and publicity that adds other even of hindrance to Nick's perplexity. Aided by his girlfriend Felicia, FBI cause Bob Teague, and Key Largo's peace officer Ted Cain, Nick is tired into a web of bloodshed, thugs, and last return.

"The Vendetta Factor" has very good picture latent. Smith is logical in presenting insights into maffia thinking, their reasoning, their strategy, their motivation, and their physical attraction for revenge, retaliation, and settling of scores. The guise Crisotto, "the Crease," is described: "His weathered human face told the full description of a man who had lived a dangerous time on the fringe of industrial social group."

Smith's characters are lifelike. Nick is delineate this way, "He was ne'er one who liked having to shindig to human else's tune, and when that soul insisted he do so he course dug in his heels even harder." Strong dialog keeps the scholarly person on point of reference near the frequent scheme twists and area changes. Word pictures and imagination of the venue are vivid and reliable. Descriptions of hostility and sex are sometimes in writing.

Robert Parker and his Spencer set may have met his game in Tim Smith's Nick Seven in the form of mob and socio-economic class retribution in "The Vendetta Factor." Tim Smith gives the student a hard storyline, healed developed characters, entertaining dialog, near a suspense constituent that is compelling and habit-forming. A terrible read.
